Some a$$ hole broke into my stang last night and busted my drivers side door glass. I bought a new one and broke the dam thing trying to get it in! My days not going that well. Has anyone of you guys replaced the door glass on a late 80's stang? Any tips will helP!!!!! PLease
slowley and carefully will win the race. I helped my couzins boy friend do his and 2 people makes it way easier and just make sure nothing's binding and just take it slow and easy. Glass will flex but bu the time you find out the limmit it will flex it's already too late as you already know.
oh yea bring the window track up near the top about 3/4 of the way up and lower the glass into it. AND WEAR SAFETY GLASSES glass in your balls isn't nice
it's a pretty easy process you should have no trouble. I transfered my guts of my metal doors into my fiber glass doors. It worked great and i didn't break any glass. But do be careful.
You really shouldnt have to bend the glass at all. Tip the front down with the window track loose. Then slide it all the way down into the door and pull it back up. Its much easier if you drill the rivets out and re-rivet it while its in the door.
