No, the factory bolt is green ( ) and not being there could effect the instruments, the wiring is also grounded to the dash frame behind the instrument cluster.
I will tell you not to put the led bulb in the battery spot, I have noticed several threads about the led in the battery light spot and charging issues.

It's only the battery bulb that makes it an issue.
you can take a flashlight and shine it on the face of the instrument cluster to see which one it is, it's the shape of the battery, just use a regular bulb in that one.
