1989 Fox 5.0 Clutch issues?

Problem.. When you let off the clutch and push one the gas in first its like your trying to granny shift from third. Oil pressure and battery bog down. Same thing in second.. Get into third no problems.. Then you smell a burning wire/rubber scent. Wierd is its not all the time.. Any ideas?? Thanks

when in first and you let off the clutch and start to move it acts like its going to die almost. Same thing in second gear.. Once you get to third its fine. after it starts you smell it really bad.. and it doesnt happen all the time.. took it to a transmission shop today and he says its probably the pressure plat..

Is the clutch "grabby" when you try to start out slow?

Is it hard to get the shifter into gear?

What clutch cable and quadrant are you running?

On a flat surface, with the car is 1st gear and the clutch pushed in normally (not jammed as far to the floor as you can get it), does the car creep forward at all?

Do you have a rough time finding reverse on a normal basis?

yes the clutch will grab and begain to roll.. at times its kinda hard to get it into first and reverse... not sure on the clutch cable.. just bought this car..
