Never heard of a 96 interior in a fox, im sure it can be done but not worth it. Theres a dark silver fox running around with all terminator interior, drivetrain, etc. Its sick. But, if you dont plan on getting the car in a magazine or something I wouldnt even look into it, LOTS of custom work, and its not worth it.

Most of the swaps you see like that have been cut up and glassed back together to make them fit.

I'm sure search won't find them because they're in talk but there are a few out there that have been around and documented. 94-99, anyway, not 1996 specifically. no difference anyway, of course. custom fab is definitely required, on both the dash for fitment and to make new door panels

but if you know how to use fiber glass( i dont ) and how to use some bondo and can paint then you could do it with some time...im sure you will have to do some wiring to but idk...someday i may try something like that in some years...kinda cool...bring the new to the old...

no ****

I didn't say "you can't do it", I just said it requires you to either make or have made nearly half of the interior. Most people think it just "fits in" the Fox body.

The two main issues are that the new dash is wider and sticks out further than the Fox dash....meaning 1) you have to basically cut it in half and cut out a section from the middle to make it fit and then put it back together, and 2) unless you do something similar to make the dash sit inward further, it's going to stick out into your lap. There's been a ton of threads about this...i'm sure searching would yield some kind of results.

Yeah, i would never do it. maybe steal little things from newer cars but not the whole dash.

If the dash could just fit in, tons of people would have it done... Kinda kills the original car though.
