I have a 97 roush stage 3 with a pulley on it. My battery went dead and now i think my tune is all messed up because now im getting check engine codes and it seems to have more timing in it now. What is the best tuner for my car? SCT is what I'm thinking. I am reading that my car has a different computer than the newer ones and i cant just buy any tuner. I wanna be able to adjust things myself without a dyno. What do ya think?

Not sure how your car dying has anything to do with the tune

Go to your local auto parts store and rent a code reader (most auto parts stores rent them for free). Reply back in this thread with the codes that come up.

A battery going dead will not affect a tune unless it wiped out the ECM in which case the car would most likely not even start up , post up the codes you are pulling that will help us help you

Has it ever been tuned before with any other software or does it have the Roush PCM in it ?

If the car is an original Roush car , they could have flashed it with their own tune or it might even have a chip in it depending on the year model of it , not sure what they were using back in 97 , but either way its highly unlikely anything is wrong with the tune , you need to do normal trouble shooting to find the cause of the missfires on those cylinders and that should get you back up and running , if not I would possibly seek out a Ford dealer that is in your area that is also a Roush dealer to have look into it .
