Hey guys, just bought a 1998 GT looking for ideas of where to get started to get more horsepower.

if you just bought it, and its stock, i really recommend getting some springs on that as fast as you can

Most folks want to start with a little horse power and some decent sound. Cat-backs will deliver that! If you have more cash to burn then do the whole exhaust! If you are looking to be able to take off faster then you should look at gears. Are we talking a stick or automatic? Do you plan on staying N/A or are you thinking supercharger down the road?

Lots of ways to add power, that is the great part of having a stang!

Should I get the stock heads worked or purchase I see Ford makes an upgrade do you know if they are any good.

i really dont know much about the heads, but i do see alot of people recommending 99+gt heads often, you might wanna try a search, im sure that this has been covered many times

Its a stick I'm looking at spending about $4000.00

You definately want to look into getting the PI heads. They are a big improvement compared to the older ones.

Where is a good place to purchase them on the net?

Check the classifieds on here or corral.net. My friend picked up a set off of Ebay a few months ago.

I see them often on ebay, or maybe you can pick them up off of a wrecked car..

Pull the motor out and get a 4v in there. It will cost the just as much money as doing all the things people have listed. That is just my 2 cents on things.
