OK it's time to show pics of all foxes with either 19's or 20 inch wheels. Please help out other stangers who is considering a combo like any of the ones posted. Heres mine for example: 92 GT convertible with a 2300k cobra brake kit, Wheels are symbolic XR series 19 x 8 with 6 in backspacing the tire size is 235/35ZR 19. Although 245's will fit fine with my set up. The front is set up with a 1/2 in spacer and longer studs (because of QA1 coil overs) and the rear fit without any mods. You don't really have to roll the fenders with my set up unless you decide to get a 19 x 9 in the rear. Then you could get away with a 6.5 Backspacing in the rear. Let me know what you think.

i have nothing about 19 or 20 inch wheels, but i voted for 16" wheels cause i would rather have a nice sidewall for better hooking, rather than a low profile tire...but thats just me. 17" would be my next vote.

BUt i wouldnt mind seeing some pictures of 19's on a fox, anybody have any?

I voted 17".......I was not a fan of 18's, but both 87ttopstang and 25thmustang have changed my opinion!

In terms of show, 18's. Quite a few guys have pulled off the 18's (2000 xp8, TunedIn) but overall 17x8/9 is the perfect size imo. I have yet to see a fox with 20's that I like.

I said 18s simply because I have them. The right 18s look perfect, the wrong ones look bad. 17s are a real clean size and offer decent sidewall while still looking good. I don't mind my 18s and other than one time at the track, never had an issue with the no sidewall (at the track, on the street it rides rough as can be).

Thats kinda the new trend, big rims and little tires. Goes the same in my business with big cabs and little boxes. It use to be long box with reg cab. Now its all crew cab short box. I personally think 18's are the best rim for a fox(Depending on the rim choice that is) Some 18's look terrible! 17's are great, but its just kinda like Flowmaster exhaust, everybody has it and its old and out dated. haha. Those 19's to me look great. I personally think 20 inch rims are left for the new s197's as they look better. They are a bigger car and have a bigger wheel well. Fox is a small car with a small wheel well. Although like your 19's, i'm sure somebody can make a 20 inch rim look good. I personally LOVE the small sidewall look. Its sporty and sharp! Nice ride

Both look good.

These are 18s. They fill out the wheel well nicely. IMO

Ok. I posted this thread to see what most people like to see on a fox body. Any one thats running either 19's or 20's need to send a decent pic of their car and also tire size, wheel type, backspacing or offset of wheel and any tricks you used to get them to fit. Look at the start of the thread and you can see that i listed my info. For all that sent pics of their 18's cool. I just went with 19's because 18's are getting too common and i wanted a different set up and in my opinion 20's are a little too much. Thats just my opinion. ( THIS THREAD WAS LISTED TO ALSO HELP ALL FOX STANGERS WHO PLAN ON EITHER PUTTING 19's OR 20's ON THEIR RIDES). So please people with 19 or 20 in wheels list the info. Thanks

why

19", 20" wheels on a stang? Maybe I'm oldschool....

Big wheels ride like ass and slow you down.
