Does any one know of how much differnce I will lose in running a 2 1/4" instead of 2 1/2" h pipe. I bought my car with a off road pipe, and just picked up a nice used catted h pipe for emissions. Thing is I didnt know it was 2 1/4" until I recieved it.

Anyone have dyno numbers of different exhaust systems?

why not swap the catted pipe out after emissions? The cats are going to make the difference here, not the diameter

I would do what U2 suggested. The 1/4" difference is neglible. I would say the cats is where some power loss might be seen. Are they high flow cats and or 4 of them?

Yes they are high flow and I want cats on the car. I like it legal and tired of having to put the clutch in every time a cop is near.

I just finished installing the pipe. It is sooo quiet. Did the high flow cats quiet down your systems alot, or is it just the 2 1/4" pipe. Its so quiet, maybe a louder cat back. DAMN EMISSIONS
