i have a 1985 ford mustang lx with a 4 speed manual transmission. im suppose to get 21 mpg in the city but recently ive been getting 10mpg. i dont drive like and idiot dont burn out or nothing. what can cause mpg to drop? help please need this for my daily driver!!
Start with a full tune up. A faulty thermostat will leave the car stuck in warmup mode. A bad ECT sensor can also hurt economy. If you car has a MAF sensor, clean it with an approved cleaner. Replace all filters. Make sure spark plugs are clean and set to the proper gap.
