ok,i cant find a good cooling fan. does anyone know the cfm rating of the oe fan? thinking about dual fans, one for cooling, the other for a/c. want to make sure they pull enough air to work properly. thanks 88 2.3l
what fans are a good replacement?I’ve seen 1250 cfm to the 1500 cfm range. Not a lot of data on the 2.3 fans.
The radiator for the 2.3L is basically the same size as the one for the 5.0 so you can run either a 90-95 3.8L Taurus fan or a 1995-2000 Contour fan. The Contour fans are super popular since they cover the entire radiator and the installation is pretty easy. Really good thread on the install and data hre:
I would simply use the existing fan wires to trigger a relay (will need more amperage than the stock fan) and call it a day. This is of course as long as your fan is still turning on at the right temperature and when the AC is commanded.

Hopefully it is worth of the How-to Index. Please wait a day or so before replying as I will need multiple posts to get all pics I feel are relevant added. I will edit this opening statement when done.
