Does Anyone Know Where I Can Get A Good Set Of Sub Frame Connectors For A 96 Gt Con.,and Strut Tower Brace That Will Fit Over A 00 Cobra 4 Valve,also Looking For A New Tan Top? If Anyone Can Help Please Reply.

are you talking abtou a 2000 cobra R, or a 2000 cobra engine? becasue there were not 2000 cobras, but they did make some engines in 2000

Yeah, my guess is he meant to say '01 since a lot of folks have purchased the '01 motors for transplants.

TRY TO DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE TALK ABOUT SOMEONE BEING WINGLESS!
IN 2000 THE COBRA WAS NEVER PRODUCED YET THERE WAS ABOUT 1500 2000 COBRA 4 VALVE MOTORS THAT WERE BUILT. THE REASON WHY THE COBRA WAS NOT BUILT IN 00 WAS DUE TO A PROBLEM FORD HAD WITH THE ENGINES NOT PRODUCING ENOUGH HORSE POWER. THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM TO BE WITH THE INTAKE MANIFLODS.SO FORD REWORKED ALL THE MANIFOLDS WHICH INCREASED THE HORSE POWER FROM 305 TO 330.GOV. STEPPED IN AND STOPPED FORD FROM GOING ANY FURTHER,ACCORDING TO GOV. REGULATIONS NOW THE MOTORS ARE PRODUCING MORE THAN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO.SO FORD DECIDED IT WAS GOING TO BE VERY COSTLY TO PRODUCE THE 00 COBRA SO THEY SCRAPPED THE IDEA. SOLD 1000 OF THE MOTORS TO AUSSY. FOR THE RALLY RACING AND THE OTHER 500 ARE HERE IN THE U.S.A AND I GOT ONE OF THEM! SO NOW WHICH OF THE 1% DO YOU REPRESENT WINGLESS WONDER!!!!!!

1st - Don't forget about that little "Caps Lock" button on your keyboard. It's there for a reason

2nd - You obviously missed the point behind my previous thread. You wouldn't imagine the number of times people accidentaly type in '00 when they post up and then everyone jumps in saying "There were no 5.4L (2000) R motors available to the public."
See Saleen4971's reply; he was merely trying to do the same thing and inquire about which motor you had...

Nobody ever stepped in here and doubted that you had a 4V 4.6L motor, now did they? In fact, go ahead and post up some pics if you'd like. I'm all for it

Thanks for trying to educate us with wrong info on a subject that has only been discussed about 1000 times here...

What is with the wingless referrence? can you not tell the difference between the mans post and his sig?

besides.... it doesn't matter if you have a 99, a 01, or 00 4.6L 4v motor, they are all the same as far as STB's go engine wise. Some things that make a difference are Alternator brackets, inlet tube (if you have a special tube, or Supercharger) and so on.... all of which vary and could be different, especially on a crate motor.

the beefiest STB is this one http://www.maximummotorsports.com/stb.asp. The 99 cobra brace will fit your car as long as your alternator bracket above the alternator (looks like an arch parrallel to the curve of the alternator) is not more than 3/4" taller than the alternator. All 99 Cobra's had the 3/4" bracket, and some 01 Cobra's have it, others have a 1-1 1/2" bracket. My 01 has the 3/4" bracket and has the 99 Cobra STB from Maximum Motorsports installed on it.

Sorry thats not how it worked.
If the Gov cared about underrated engines they would be all over GM since 1998 for the Fbodies, be all over Ford for the Lightning, the 03 Cobra, all over Ford for the 00 Cobra R, All over Ford for the Mach 1 etc, etc, etc.
Gov dosen't care if you underrate your HP, they just care if you overrate.

Nobody cares if you get more than what you paid.
