I have a problem where my hood doesnt close properly. It seems I am missing that metallic part where the hook grabs on to. It looks like a metal bar pin coming out of the hood, I think... I actually bought the car seemingly without this part (never checked) and for the last 2 yrs, it would close if i slam it really hard a few times. Now my hood wont close!!! I went to ford and they told me this simple metallic part doesnt come seperate and I need to buy a new hood!!!
Anyone know what this part is called and where I can purchase it? and is it easy to install/any instructions?
Remember this is a V6 2000 coupe.
