Drivetrain 2000 GT High Idle - Pulling Out Hair - Help

Just wondering if you had any codes because mine said leak after maf but I can't seem to find it and I've already replaced, maf sensor, whole new cold air intake, plugs, coils, injectors, wires, iac, iat, tps, ect, checked o2 sensors and only 1 bad and I'm losing my mind not being able to figure it out!!!! Any suggestions?....also I'm gonna back it up a little.... my car is a 2000 gt 4.6 automatic idling high and everytime rpms get under like 2500 or slowing down/ stopping at a light it wants to shut off. Its only when I'm driving, just letting it run in driveway it's just fine but once I go take it out of park it starts acting funny. I've even had it where when I went to reverse out of a spot it started jerking and jumping for no reason(pretty embarrassing), please someone help me?????

And what are [your] codes?

Also, I'm going to move this to its own, new thread.

WHat are the codes?

Unplug the IAC. Do the RPMs still stay high? If you adjust the throttle stop screw, does it affect idle?

If you suspect a leak, i'd make/buy/rent/borrow a smoke machine and use that to find the source of oyur vac leak

Ok I know it's been a little while but I wanted to update everything..... I've done everything everyone said but it didn't help any. I did happen to find one hose that went from the evap under the passenger wheel well to throttle was a little rotted so I changed it, I've tried the throttle screw which I got it where it was a little better but sill not fixed. Unplugging the iac or anything else really didn't do anything cause like I said when its just sitting idling in the driveway it's fine, it's only when I'm actually driving does it do this. I tried bringing it to a shop that was suppose to be known for mustang's but only cost me 1k and came back with it the same if not worse and basically he had no clue and couldn't figure it out. I've been working on it trying to figure it out for so long now and I don't wanna give up but if I don't figure something out soon I'm gonna have to say goodbye to my baby. PLEASE if anyone can think of ANYTHING or have ANY ideas what could help please please let me know!!!!!

Yo, listen up, newbies, let’s get this straight,
Rollin’ to the forum, but you showin’ up late.
Got a Mustang that’s sputterin’, actin’ all lame?
Don’t just cry in the thread, step up your game!

You say your ride’s broke, but your post’s unclear,
“Car’s makin’ noise!”—yo, we ain’t psychics here.
No codes, no clues, just a vague complaint,
We’re tryna help, but your details are faint.
Grab that OBD scanner, plug it in tight,
Under the dash, yeah, it’s right in sight.
Pull them codes, let the data talk,
Stop guessin’ in the dark, quit that aimless walk.

OBD codes, yo, don’t leave us blind,
Pull them numbers, let’s see what we find!
P0300, P0171, or a P0420,
Drop them codes, be the forum’s hero!

Your ‘Stang’s throwin’ fits, maybe misfire or stall,
But without them codes, we’re just hittin’ a wall.
Is it fuel, is it spark, or a sensor gone bad?
Codes give the map, so we don’t get had.
AutoZone’s got scanners, or grab one online,
Ten bucks on eBay, and you’re doin’ just fine.
P codes, C codes, let the truth unfold,
Don’t make us beg, man, just give us the gold!

OBD codes, yo, don’t leave us blind,
Pull them numbers, let’s see what we find!
P0300, P0171, or a P0420,
Drop them codes, be the forum’s hero!

We love your passion, your Mustang pride,
But vague posts leave us on a wild ride.
OBD’s the key, it’s the doctor’s chart,
Diagnose that beast, let’s tear it apart!
From the Fox to the S550 crew,
Codes tell the tale of what’s wrong with your ‘Stang, true.
So plug it, scan it, post it, don’t stall,
We’ll fix that pony, make it gallop, not crawl!

So next time you post, don’t just whine and plead,
Hit that scanner, give us what we need.
OBD codes, they’re the troubleshooting key,
Mustang forum fam, let’s keep it code-savvy!

Hey, any updates on this? Could be your new tps wasn't installed correctly, the tps was the original or was it aftermarket, also is the throttle body original, or also aftermarket? Do you notice it gets better, worse, or same as the car gets to optimum operating temperature, Hows the gears shifting? when you put it into Drive after the car has a chance to level out idles after start up, does it shift in smoothly, or you feel a sudden jerk when put into drive?
