Blew out the heater hose connection. What intake would be the best replacement?

I replaced mine with the Ford Performance PI intake...example:

Order the alternator bracket and good intake manifold gaskets too. The Ford Performance piece should serve you well even with engines mods. Avoid the cheaper ones with factory attached intake gaskets as folks seem to have issues with them sealing. My 2 cents.

I have a Dorman Intake on my 2000 GT. Yes it is cheaply made. I certainly have a love hate relationship with it. I don't really like the total all plastic design especially for the the screw holes.

I also had a very hard time getting the T-stat O-ring not to leak.

But I do like the price and it has been doing it's job for almost 2 years now.

Here's an alternative that may be between the two options. It does have metal inserts in the mounting points.

But If the money is not a problem then buy the name brand Ford unit. It's unlikely that you will regret it especially if keeping the car for a long time.

Thank you for your input. I'm going to go with the ford product( even though they should have stood behind the many issues with the intake)
