As the title reads, I'm working on a swap to a 2001 Cobra motor. If anyone has done this type of swap or knows good articles on this please help me out. I'm trying to find out if I need a new computer and wiring harness and other such things like this. Also I was thinking about buying a 2003/2004 terminator s.c and putting that on. Would I need to get the 03/04 computer if I were to do this?

Also I know the 2001 Cobra is only the forged crank so I've already planned to get forged rods and pistons.

Thanks for any help.

I know this isn't anything to do with what your looking for but I would reconsider from a cost standpoint. I had the funds to do whatever I wanted, my choice was cobra swap vs building my 2v. It was pretty much a no brainer when I broke it down. You can get more than enough power out of a 2v for the street for far less than it would take to swap to the 4v and get it to that same level. Of course you can go more but 500-550rwhp is perfect for the street, numbers easily within reach of nice 2v build.

Also, I don't have any links handy but between here and the other forums if you do some searches you'll find a TON of info

Well i got the Cobra motor for a price that I couldn't pass up. It needs to be rebuilt as it has 90k miles or so. I just rebuilt my 2 valve and it's running fine but since i got this cobra motor for so cheap and its out of the car I can drive my car and work on an engine. If i worked on my 2 valve I'd have no car to drive. Plus I actually like to work on this type of stuff.

Thanks that's a really good article. I'm still wondering if I were to get the 03/04 supercharger would I need to get a whole new computer and or wiring harness?
