Was looking at auto trader and found a 2001 silver cobra all stock with 38k on her, for $17,500. Everything looks clean. It seems tempting to sell mine and get that. Would I notice a difference between the cobra and my car with the mods I have? Would it even be worth it?

It would be quite a bit faster. It really depends on what you want out of your car to be able to tell if its worth it. In the end its all up to you anyway.

The Cobra has the DOHC motor which will be more mod friendly and give you a more power to start off. It has the IRS which gives you a smoother ride but its also not as good at the track.

Depends on what track you are referring too... Drag strip gotta watch the wheel hop, Road course, will be miles ahead. A stock Cobra will be a smidge faster than where you are now stock, but 4.10's, mid pipe and tune will really waken her up. If you can afford it, go for it, just take off some of the mods you have on your car now and sale them separately that way you can get the most for trade (assuming you are doing this as well) and re-coupe a little money back.

My goal is to go in a strait line as fast as possible, I don't care about road courses. I would put 3.73s, 93 oct. tune, MRT catted H, Mac catback, and chin spoiler. Those would probably be the mods I would do. 300 RWHP would be nice.

Wow, I new the mach was awesome but I thought the cobra was the god of mustangs. I didn't think there was much difference from the 01 Cobra and the 03-04 mach.

Mach 1 has a solid axle which is better for the stip. They are both two great cars and really isn't much difference between them. I like the interior in the Mach better (seats and gauges) but the Cobra has more of a "NAME" to it, if you know what I mean. I like the looks of the Mach 1 better too and if you want an auto you can get one in the Mach.

The '03/04 Mach 1 is basically a refined version of the 99/01 Cobra.

Slightly better power, 5-spd, live axle, same brakes. Other than the exterior treatments and interior differences, you would think it was a Cobra.

The mach was built by the hand of god. Or was that the 03-04 cobra? No, wait, it was the LS1.

why, because I dont want it to look like a GT? The Mach 1 shouldve came with the 99/01 Cobra Facia. Looks sooooo much better.

I want a 01 Cobra front fascia 4 my Mach. They look awesome on the Machs, but the 03-04 Cobra front fascias throw off the lines of the Mach imo...

I remember not too long ago a guy on here said I ruined my Mach by putting the Cobra mirrors, spoiler, & lowering it...
