I think you would have to change the heads and all also , NOT WORTH IT ...IMO ....get a centrifugal , procharger D1SC with 3 core intercooler and only 8 lbs of boost would be a great setup on that car .....

Two guys on the registry have already done the swap. They even had the shaker installed on the top of the supercharger.

It’s a similar motor but has an aluminum block unlike the Cobra’s cast iron block. The Cobra also has a built bottom end and less compression ratio. I'd do a full motor swap if you don’t want to have to worry about trouble down the road.

How would putting the Cobra supercharger on the Mach 1 be any different than putting an aftermarket blower on it with similar boost? You don't see those guys doing full motor swaps to run superchargers.

The current issue of either 5.0 or Muscle Mustangs (don't remember which) has a detailed write-up about a Mach 1 with a blower.

you can go ahead and do that, but dont be surprised of you see some connecting rods on the side of the road. the mach 1 bottom end isnt even close to the strength of the terminator bottom end. the aluminum block is strong yes, but the connecting rods and the pistons are weak. also the automatic mach 1 motor doesnt have a forged crankshaft. the Eaton is a very inefficient supercharger. i would never use it on a buildup seeing as how the KB is a lot more efficient and makes a lot more power. if you are dead set on using the heaton, save up the money and get forged internals.

There really isn't a difference, but the Mach 1 has too high of a compression for any substancial forced induction.
