I actually think handling (in a performance sense) wil go to the Cobra. Smoothness and everyday driveability to the 05.

I like to call mine my "point and shoot car". Cause if you see somewhere you want to be, you point the car in that direction, pull the trigger, and BAM...Your THERE!

BTW, I definately plan on heading out and test driving an 05, I am very intrigued by its set-up. REALLY want to get an idea of what it is truely all about, untill then, its just speculation.

god we really have some morons on here and some trolls.

02 cobra? WTF?

03 cobra = slow? WHAT? Fastest car for the money yet its price to performance isn't good? WTF?????????

You have to make a judgement call on what is more important to you. Both look sharp so looks is just your preference. Fit and finish is going to be FAR superior on the 05 as compared to any SN95 mustang. If you HAVE to have awesome fit and finish AND massive amounts of torque you will want to wait for the 2006 cobra. If you can handle paying a little less and getting a awesome interior 05 mustang with some power loss compared to the 03 cobra then thats what you want. If you have to have the most power right now for the money a used 03 cobra is your best bet.

p.s. I dont know why i bothered responding your probably just a troll.

Anyway cobra is a waste of $$$. I went in one and was not impressed. Its nothing special... also the engine is powerful i will admit that. But for the amount of money it is and the amount of horsepower it has i was disapointed with how slow it was and there is no way i would ever pay that much for a glorified gt. (dont get me wrong, halfway decent car, but not worth the money... i would buy a saleen before a cobra).

none, just different paint option.

Wait for 06 if you want true refinement.

i'd say you ought to get the 05, but start saving up for a blower on it now, aswell. that way, you'll have the newest hottest looking car, what with power that matches or is near or exceeds that of the cobra. i'm sure vortech or kennebell will come out with a blower soon after the GT's debut.

well, I noticed the estimated gas mileage was better on the sticker for the 04. I think all they did was change the computer a little and supposedly it got rid of the "gas guzzler tax". Not too sure though cause I'm not an expert like the kind individuals on this forum.
