does anyone know if any company makes or has any plans to make a billet aluminum fuel door for the 05's? I'd really like to get one for my black GT.

Please, please, please don't do it...

UPR will undoubtedly make one, if they don't already.

Oh, that's entirely up to you. Some like them, some don't -- I am one of the latter . I think the fuel door is a necessary evil, not something that should be made to stand out . Ford may have done it with the Bullitt, but I think it was ugly then, and ugly now. If you like the way it looks, by all means do it. Around here we'll offer opinions, but ultimately it's your car.

I know this topis is several months old, and I'm a newb ressurecting it wich, yes by all forum measures is taboo...BUT,

I'm looking for a nice billet fuel door as well for my 05GT, anyone come across any? I've checked with Pro-Fit, but no response from them so far... anyone? The 05's have been on the road over a year now, you'd think they'd be popping up by now?

I suggest waiting several more months or even a year till we get some good looking ones.

I had been searching ebay, but guess I missed the day that that was up!
And it is a bit on the ugly side.. the pony on the door is tacky.

Thanks for the link though!

What we need is someone to make a door like Ford should have done, flush with an inside release, I'd pay money for that!

Not on my list of mods, but I was at my local Ford parts department and they had one for the '05.

I just purchased a black and brushed aluminum fuel door from http://www.kooltang.com

I installed it the other day and the quality is 100%. I've had various brand billet caps on my cars and this one is one of the best. I'll get some pics asap.
