How do we feel about first gen fuel caps?

So I got to thinking about my ‘88 project today and wondered what it would look like if I removed the fuel door and added a Shelby style fuel cap ILO the factory setup.

I’m curious if anyone has ever seen or done anything like this before? I think it would be fairly straightforward but am I missing anything?

But......if you like it that's what matters, just make sure the cap is compatible with our 'closed system' the early GT's were vented to atmosphere.
