Roush 2005 Saleen & Questions

cabaret, here's what little I have to help answer your questions.

"1) Will there be a 2005 Saleen & does any one have any info or pictures of such that they can share?"

Supposely, a design has be made (by Phil Frank - he designed the S7 and current Saleen Mustangs ) and prototype work is going on at the Saleen facility in the Detroit area where they will be assembling the Ford GT. Conversion production will still occur at the Californina facility. A lot of this will depend on what the new owners want to do with the company.

"2) What changes do you think will be made to the new Saleen?"

The only hint I got was that IRS rear "might" be more common in the Saleens seeing as the new 05 frame is built to handle both types of rears. My source was aware that Saleen has just one year to establish their new model before facing competition from the new SVT Cobra.


"3) How much do you think they will be?"

Best guess-- starting at least $10k above the GT price, like now, and going much higher depending on the options.
