2007 Ford mustng

Ok so I lost they ignition key I have to my 2007 ford mustang gt convertible. Is it possible to get a whole new ignition with keys to replace the old one I do t have keys to and would I have to program the new ignition is a chipped key. I do have a door for it. If I can't just replace the ignition wats the cheapest way to get a new key

Likely a transponder key, a mobile locksmith is capable of cutting a 'chip' key and program it wherever it sits, save tow fees and alot cheaper then a dealer, you likely can get a blank from the dealer, some are sharp enough to look up the 'key code' and hand you a 'chip key' that fits your ignition, all you need is to program it to your car, talk to the parts department, some can only get codes up to 10yrs old, talk to a mobil locksmith cause 'they don't need no stink'n codes', cut and program in your drive.

I had key programmed at a local Ace Hardware. If you have one near, I'd check to see if they provide that service. Half cost of dealer quote.
