Ok, here is the annual thread of how my junior football team is going. As some of you already know I run a football league here locally for over 400 boys 4 divisions and spanning from K-7th grade. Well I fought for 3 years to get all the boys new teams and jerseys and I brought in the Colts
So we have been practicing since Aug 1 and the team went from 22 players to 20 as all teams will at this age (9-11) and we have lost our first 2 games so far. In each game we have scored 2 TD's and some xtra points' just not enough to seal the deal at the end of the game.
Well I am a coach that will get all my players in the game and give them equal play time. I am also a coach in his last season. That is right I am hanging up my whistle as a head coach after this November. I am sick of the parents, whoever coaches knows what I mean.
Well I have decided now that i will get my players in for the allotted time each game and after that I am going to play the boys that show up to practice and learn the plays. I am sick of being the nice guy and weekly not seeing the results of the hard work that the boys that show up put into this team.
Well I am going to post some pics today when I get to work. I am pressed for time and wanted to get this thread started. I will also get a video or two put in here as I can. coaching and recording is a pain and the wife said that she is there to watch the game not be a reporter so I have to do it all..
I also encourage the other members here that have boys in Football to post pics up and their weekly game "stories". Lets talk the kids up this season guys I know that I am not the only dad that has a little one in Football here.
