Hi- first post here. We have 2008 GT - just replaced alternator, battery and battery cable. This is still happening— (tried to attach video but it won’t work!!) Traction control light comes on & off, ABS light comes on & off and battery power on instrument panel goes up and down. Also A/C goes in and out. Can anyone help with ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi, To attach video try posting to YouTube first & dropping it on the desired SN page.
Sounds like a grounding issue, poor contact-or connections, SJB water infiltration. While the issue(s) are occurring- rock the vehicle from a door frame & see it it changes or disappears. Take your time & run through the list, check that no water is leaking into the engine compartment or interior.
Try the items on the list below, see what you find. Don’t throw $$ at this unless you locate a component that’s proven faulty.
1) The 05’-07’s had both sensitive grounding and water infiltration issues, 08’s are better yet have a similar setup, pull the cover off your SJB (Smart Junction Box) under the dash & view connections & look for any moisture inside.
2) Is there any Codes? Try pulling them regardless of CEL, DTC’s still may be present.
3) Check all your grounds, Batt. to Chassis, Battery to block, block to Chassis, Battery to CPU. Pull them and clean off any media, I.e., paint/corrosion, clean wire brush or equivalent, apply a corrosion inhibitor & re- terminate connections good & tight.
4) Check your power wires going to the fuse box(es) & ensure the connections are solid & moisture free, pull fuses, check that figment is tight and free of corrosion (all fuses, but especially mains), and your relays are homed tightly, and moisture free.
5) Grab a good flashlight, check that your CPU’s Plug verifying its homed and no evidence of moisture is present, anywhere under the dash, particularly grounds.. Slowly follow all your wiring under hood, through the harness & look for any pinched, melted, or otherwise damaged wiring, tug on wiring, fusible links, remove harness connectors & verify clean & dry, solid connections. Tug on wiring. Try this with both key-off & key on & see what symptoms change with a tug test..
6) Check Voltage at the Battery with engine running (13.4-13.9V) & also at Battery with Key off (No less than 12V).
7) The vehicle’s Pump primes, engine starts, runs, drives as it should, other than mentioned?
A) Are there any other issues that occur, how did this anomaly present, just occurred suddenly one day, or did small problems occur & worsen with time, the same regardless of weather?
B) Any recent mod’s or work done to the Car, of any type, any CPU reflash (Tuner)?
Good luck with these, post your findings & Feel free to ask any questions.
- John
