The only thing you MAY have a problem with is hood clearance. I know 05-09 strut bars fit the 10+ models. I dont know if the stock 10 bar fits the 05-09 models though.
Unless you are getting one free, just buy one from Ebay from the FR3 handling kit. They run about $125 with shipping. That fits 05-10 models.
Being that the FR3 handling pack fits the 2010 I assume the 2010 bar should fit the 08, I don't think Ford would refit the bar to the new hood just redesign the appearance of the bar.
