I agree if the front is more like the classic charger it would be a perfect 4 door mucle car. Still looks sexy though.

I'm not real sure how I like it. Looks to me like a mix of a new Challenger, new Camaro, and F-body Camaro.

Off topic, but there were some stupid fast Chargers/Chrysler 300s at the track today. Running mid 11s.

Here is the real 2011 Charger - the ones from those first links were concept drawings from 1999.

I respect the idea that Dodge wanted to bring back a couple of icons like the Charger and the Challenger. I despise what they have managed to produce. The actual products that they brought to market may pay tribute, but certainly pay no respect to the legends of yesteryear. The original cars were very much in the trenches of the muscle car society, shoulder to shoulder with mustang, camaro, GTO, and later Firebird. Every single one of them is a blast to drive.

What Dodge has produced today is a bloated luxobarge that is neither agile nor inspiring to drive. It relies on the popular sillouhette of ancestry to tug at the hearstrings of people who recall much better versions.

What they did is shameful, they decided to make a 300c with a body panel kit that looks like a Charger or a Challenger. In this day and age, this hack job was the best Dodge could come up with? No surprise they went belly up.

Talk about compromises, from using the gigantic platform of the 300c (the absolute worst platform I can think of for a "muscle car), to the sham of a "HEMI" engine (nothing but a truck engine) that bears no resemblence to legendary engine of yore.

I was initially excited when I saw the platforms being developed. I thought finally some competition for the Mustang (competition is good, it makes my cars better). But no, sadly not. These horribly designed vehicles fail to even enter the genre, let alone the competition.

Shame on you Dodge, shame on you.

Thats slow...LOL..its a walk in the park to get an SRT-8 300,charger or magnum into the 11's..My bone stock SRT-8 magnum weighing in at 4685 with me in it ran 12.9...I bolted a zex kit sprayed a 100 shot on street tires went 12.0 @ 118 mph...there a breeze to get them to go.....I have a few friends running in the 9's with them...

LOL...R/T's are ok I owned an 05 R/T magnum then i stepped up to a SRT-8 magnum...its one fast boat...LOL...185 top speed, brembo brakes,Factory 20 inch F1 super car tires...it handles unbelievable...stops awesome...And the fact that it was a station wagon they considered it an SUV so insurance was cheap...Like i said...12.9 stock isnt anything to sneeze at...look at what it weighs 4600 lbs...god if it was 3500 lbs the car would have been a 10.5 car...

Too bad it weighs 4600 lbs then. The new camaro has a pretty sweet power plant with awesome power too, but to bad it also weighs a lot at around 4000 lbs.

More power can only overcome weight in a straight line... even then, it's more difficult to get traction.

These new cars have a serious weight problem that I just cant get over.
