Hey guys,
I need some help on my coyote.
In my 2011, the car ran a bit too long with no oil. My mechanic said I possibly spun a rod bearing.

I need advice on what I should do and or, if I should go ahead and rebuild the engine at an affordable price range.
Any suggestions will be awesome!
Thank you.

Have you considered buying a low miled, used engine?

I have but can't find any under 6k or any gen 1's in the first place.

Every mechanic I've talked to won't touch the car without an engine replacement

They are out there,I’ve seen them higher, and I’ve seen them lower cost wise- I’d try talking to a few wrecking yards. But if a rebuild is what you are after-Maybe Check with a few machine shops, see if they will give you some estimates for a rebuild, and some recommendations for a shop that would be willing to pull the motor for the machine shop and install it when it’s ready

I just got an estimate for parts from Real Street. About 2.4k for all the pistons, rods, bearings and hardware (all forged)
They said I don't need a machine shop and all parts will fit.
Thinking its cheaper than finding a used engine
