2012 Kona Blue Stripe Removal

looking to pick up a Kona Blue 5.0 with 20K miles. It has hood/roof/decklid with white stripe. I know the stripe itself removal is easy, how fade resistant is Kona Blue? Local shop stated that it should not be a issue, the white stripes allow UV though. They did warn that a good paint detail will be required as under the stripe the CC will not have scratches from use/washing etc.

Anyone have experience with this?
