Right now, My car is putting out 39psi at idle with the stock pump. I have 24lb injectors and stock fuel pump on the car. Will the stock fuel pump keep up with the engine? It is a H/C/I car. I am having a serious pinging problem now and I think this may be what is causing it.

Nothing about your mods or HP. SD or MAF. Pump could your problem but that would depend on how many ponies you're putting out.

Depends on the combo and power output - but the stock pump usually won't support much more than mild upgrades. And it certainly won't keep up with what the 24's are capable of. Need at least a 190 - might as well throw the 255 in there and be done with it.

Yes, But if I did not have a sufficient enough fuel pump would it cause pinging? I have Trickflow H/C/I. 39psi at idle. No idea what it is under a load though.

If your Air fuel ratio is lean then yes. It can cause pinging.

mackey - tell us more about what year and how your engine is modded. The more you tell us, the more helpful we can be.

Well The car has Trickflow heads, cam and intake. It has a Fuel Pressure Guage (39) at idle. It has a flowmaster catback. 24lb injectors and an 80mm pro-m. 1994 GT
