I'm having some idle issues in my 94 GT and Im really looking at every possible option here. Its getting a new fuel filter, has new pump etc.. My question is do injectors have a lifespan? Do the wear out over time and get weak? I bought mine used 3 years ago so its got me thinking. any help is appreciated!

i'd strongly suggest ypu do a base idle rest as well as pull all codes whether or not your check engine light ison or not. Many codes are stored yet do not trigger the cel, and the base idle reset when done properly solves tons of nuances with these cars. Look for the stickies to get the instructions as put together by @jrichker

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Injectors last a very long time. Very unlikely to be the issue.

You guys with idle/stall problems could save a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix.

It's free, I don't get anything for the use of it except knowing I helped a fellow Mustang enthusiast with his car. At last check, it had more than 134,000 hits, which indicates it does help fix idle problems quickly and inexpensively.

I spend so much time searching for that checklist. the new site layout has made it tough to find. I have gone through many of those tests and gotten nothing. soon i will start up with it again. thanks for your help!

Those awesome checklists will be converted to an easily locatible resource for all to see. Will take a bit of time though. Best way to locate right now is a google search
