Will this tire fit on my 2005 stock rims and if so, will they run?

Hi and welcome. if I recall the stock rim for your car is 17x8 a 255/40/17 can be mounted on a rim that size, but an 8.5" rim is what tire manufactures recommend for that size.

I ran a 255 on 8inchis wheels but it didn't wear down correctly . .. went back to 235 till I got new wheels
