275 45 ZR-17's? CEL or Failsafe Mode Problems?

I'm going to 4.10 gears in my 5-speed GT and know I'll need more tire. I have the base "Torque Thrust" 17" rims.

Has anyone tried running 275 45 ZR-17's on these rims? If so, any feedback or recommendations? Two local performance shops have recommended this size if staying with the stock rims.

Also, has anyone had CEL or Failsafe Mode problems directly related to using a tuner to adjust for gear and/or tire height changes?

Welp, based on Tire Rack, looks like the choice is 275 40 ZR-17's.

There are also a bunch of 255 45 ZR-17's.

Still looking for the advice I originally asked for, just narrowed down my own choices a bit.
