27mpg on a 2004 Auto GT

usually 5 speed guys are getting like 24-26 mpg on the highway...us auto guys seem to get like 20-22 at best

but 26 is great

I've completed the second week of 65MPH driving. My work drive is 150 miles a day. I was able to get 24.69 MPG with my mods below. The second week dropped a bit, 22.98, since I have an issue with a sensor, triggering the CEL, and it started running rich.

Before, I would travel at 78MPH to work and averaged 19-20MPG. I slowed to 70 and got 22-23. Slowing to 65 has added about 1.5 mpg...probably about the limit...but over all I've added nearly 5mpg slowing form 78 to 65. Gives me an extra trip to work every two weeks and saves me 100 bucks.

I managed 27mpg going 78mph with my stock 3.55's. Minimal mods: CAI, Catback, Midpipe, Tune. I've got a 5 speed.

I averaged about 26 mpg on the highway at 75 mph.

A huge part of getting great highway mpg's is wind resistance.
If you have a strong tailwind you can fly, whereas a crosswind or headwind
can ruin your numbers.

With construction on the highway, I've been doing a fair amount of stop'n go which has brought me down to 23.17 mpg on the last fill up. This includes running the AC.
