I was taking apart my '66 289 and noticed that the connecting rods don't have oil holes in them but the bearings have holes. Found this a bit odd, is it normal?

Thanks and Merry Christmas

The 260 and 289 High Performance had oil squirters, but the Mustang 289 did not.

the rods have part -C3AE ,the oiler hole is at the top of the bearing and exits at the base of the I beam. this one is from a 2 V 1965 289
