The dealership I work for has taken xplan on GT's since last year! Tell you what, if your interested PM me and I will have one of my salespeople call you, place your order and have the vehicle drop shipped to the nearest FORD dealer of your choice.

I also have an 06 Black GT on our lot, with the addition of the Borla axle-back that we put on! We also have a Redfire Auto 06' GT as well.

Hell we might even xplan either of these just to get them off our porch.

Which is at odds with every other statement I've seen about the new Mustang.

Almost every other article and statement I've seen says that roughly 30% are GTs, and 70% are V6s.

Might be, every other year the ratio of v6's or 4cyls to v8's has been about 70/30 or maybe 65/35. Thats why i was shocked when I read that article.

Article is from 5.0 mustang october 2005
"But, a full 70 percent of new mustangs are the gt models, making the car more profitable for ford and ensuring a lot of raw material out there on the street for would-be hot rodders."

That's called some lazy SOB making up the article as they went along instead of bothering to check the facts and get them correct.

Again, the build mix Sept 04 to Jan 05 was 32% GT
Feb 05 to present build mix is 38% GT

The other info. you saw is correct, that is over the last 10 years (or more) the build ( & sales ) mix has been about 32% to 33% GTs which is why Ford initially planned the same V6 - V8 build mix for the 05 Stang.

The reason why Ford got the 05 build mix wrong is that a significant % of Mustang sales has been to fleet customers like rental car companies. With the 05 Stang Ford cut back the # of fleet sales but did not correct the build mix to what the V6 - V8 retail sales is.

You never responded! Do you or don't you want to buy one? If you do, great I will order you one at xplan. If not, what is the point of your topic? Everyone wants to buy below invoice and brag about it, then when they see the value of their car two years down the road they gripe about how little it is worth.
