Ok , life happened and I put off getting a Holley 2V with a manual choke till now.

My question is, will a stock 289 see any benefit going larger than 350cfm ? I'm thinking no. But I will trust the older memberships advice.

Mostly a parade car. But some real world highway speeds with a stock exhaust would help me remember the limits of a stock 289 2V with normal gearing.

No concourse correct guys on this page? I will admit , it was strange when the vintage car club passed me a membership app. Then it dawned on me , its well over 50 years old.

A stock 289 would run fine with any 2 or 4 barrel carburetor up to around 600cfm if tuned correctly afterwards. The biggest difference will be throttle response and when it falls on its ass at wide-open throttle. For your use the 350cfm carb is fine, but you can always go bigger if you want to (to a point).
