3.73gear and line lock...Burnout ??

which gear would you do a burnout in the box, or on normal roads......


3.73 gear, DR's, line lock, posi diff

2 at the least. Depends on the type of tires. I run my et streets through 2nd and 3rd real quick to heat them up. I don't have line lock either. You could do it in what ever gear you want as long as your tires don't start to hook. But if you mean at the track you could just do it in 2nd for 10seconds.

if you just wanna make smoke just buy some cheap tires and have at it.

thanks....no i have 315 Nitto DR's and they cost so damn much, no smoking for the hell of it.......used for track.....

soo......2nd gear should work well with my setup

I HAVE A SLP LINE LOCK AND 3:73'S. I ALSO HAVE NITTO DR'S AND I DO A 2ND GEAR BURNOUT(WITHOUT GOING THROUGH WATER BOX) AND HEAT THEM UP 8-10 SECONDS, LET THE LINE LOCK OUT AND ROLL OUT TO THE LINE.

in second do you just kind pop the clutch, or what ??

I LET THE CLUTCH OUT AT 3000 RPMS, THEN I HOLD AT 3500-4000 RPMS FOR 8-10 SECONDS, LET THE LINE LOCK OUT AND ROLL TO THE LINE.

sweet thanks......just got my new Diff, with new axels and gears....i'm finishing up the line lock install tonight.....then going to test em out !! (there will be footage)

alright all the stuff is installed......wondering if there is anything "specific" i should notice.....i haven't really tested them....but the car seems to drive the same.......

BRAKES FELT THE SAME AFTER LINE LOCK INSTALLED.

sorry, the line lock goes in this week.....didn't get a chance to put it on.....but all the rear components are in....

31 spline posi, axels, and 3.73 gears
