Just wondering about this, I recently purchased some new mac 351w swap longtubes to replace my old crappy headers on my 351 fox, I didn't realise until tonight that they have 3" collectors, and that my old h pipe won't fit up.
My question is: with a slightly modded (headwork, light cam, intake, etc.) carbed 351w, will I lose a lot of power/torque if I just bite the bullet and go full 3" exhaust? Or will my motor pump enough exhaust to use the 3" at least a little...?
Just trying to decide if I should try and rig up my 2.5" exhaust to fit the new headers of to just get new exhaust.
