I have a 302 from a 1974 Maverick. Does anyone know what the lift and duration is? I want to put in a little bit better cam, nothing crazy. I just want a little more power without breaking the bank. The block is already .030 over. I am rebuilding the motor because it had a knock. Turns out the bearings were worn out.

Not off the top of my head, but I have a book at home that might have those numbers cross-referenced. Here is a link to it, maybe you can find it and figure something out with it...

If it's the original cam to the engine, it's not going to be much. Summit and Jegs both carry budget cam kits that will improve how the engine runs and give you a little better idle sound if that's what you're looking for (That's what we're putting in the 308 (302 bored .040 over) my dad and I are building for his Capri. Stock D5 casting heads with a little clean-up work, a mild cam kit from Summit, dual-plane intake, and a 600 Holley. The plan is for something around 200-220 horsepower that will run 87 Octane gas, and get high teens or better in fuel economy with an AOD or T5 behind it.
