If I have learned a new techo trick, how to upload photos, here is a picture of the D80E head I cut up....
This is a cut through the exhaust port area, including valve guide and a Thermactor port, on the the short piece of the head. I cut it to retain one complete end cylinder, intact, with both vavle guides, ports, and head bolts, and to get at a head locating dowel. The cut is through the next adjacent cylinder. If this was on the car, this is through cylinder 6, looking forward.
This was with a camera phone, so it's not real detailed, I thiought it was interesting anyway.
