302 or 351 based stroker for '66 ?

I plan to put a stroker engine into my '66 fastback. The car is street driven only, plus some 1/4 mile drag racing. I'll be running an auto transmission. Given there's no substitute for cubic inches, are there any downsides to installing a 351w based stroker instead of a 302w based stroker ?. Obviously my options are a 347, or a 393 etc. Can any 351w stroker owners in a '66 tell me of their experiences please ?

With a 351w stroker in a '66 is it still possible to get to the UCA nuts inside the engine bay to loosen off for wheel alignment adjustment ? . If I run a low profile oval air cleaner, is there enough clearance to run my stock hood without a hood scoop for clearance ?.

If you use the 351 conversion headers for a 65-66 Mustang you can get to the nuts for the UCA. Deciding on which motor to go with is going to be up to you. After you choose one its easy to go from there.

Thanks. Do you have any idea whether I can still run a standard hood without a hood scoop for clearance ?
