31 Spine 8.8 Gears Question

Hey guys i picked up an 8.8 from a 88 mustang lx i had a set of 3.73 31 spline gears and a trac lok diff i was gonna use the 28 spline diff and the 31 spline gears i just cannot find the pinion flange thats a 31 and would fit a fox driveshaft anyone know a after market company that makes one?

the gears are not specific to the spline count. They are interchangeable. the only thing spline count affects is the axles and carrier.

So the 31 teeth count on the pinion gear has nothing to do with it and if i get a regular flange it will be fine?

the 31 spline has nothing to do with the ring and pinion.

Yeah i see what you mean now would the flange from a 7.5 fit in the 8.8 pinion?

If it truly has a 31 spline carrier, you will need 31 spline axles to go with it.
