331 vs 347???

naturally aspirated always go 347, turbo id go with the 331. try using the search as this has been asked so many times.

But in reality neither are "better" with a turbo but the bigger engine has the capability to make more power at a lower rpm.

If I was building a turbo 302 based engine, it wouldn't be a 331 or a 347, it would be a 363" dart block (same stroke as a 347, just a much bigger bore)

If you are going to using a T4 flanged turbo, I think the 331 is the better route. A 347/363 and a decent sized turbo will be close to maxing the flow of the T4 exhaust housing and will cause some extremely high back pressures between the combustion chamber and turbine wheel.

I agree with Paul on this, but a the little extra stroke will help spool the turbo. In the end it really depends on the EXACT combo and intentions, I'm a fan of the 363 that Mike mentioned

The 331 piston has more piston material.

A 331 is a "better" option in my opinion.
