I put a new optima 34/78 redtop in my 01 GT and it's not just drop in and go. That model in about 1/16" too long. The height and width are fine though. It did not come with any adapters

I removed the battery tray and took it to the work bench. I heated one side up with a mini torch and bent the plastic out a little bit. After that it fits just fine. The stock hold down will just barely grasp the edge so you'll have to fiddle with it a little.

I checked the specs this moring and the group 25 it's 1/16" smaller in length. That's about all that was needed.
