Hey guys, just wanting to maybe get an estimate from some of you experienced folks as to what types of numbers my motor will put down. Ill list everything in the build and tell me what you think.

TOP END:

BBK SSI intake/billet rails/regulator/36lb injectors/ported upper and lower. 255lph fuel pump

BBK Cold Air with ProM MAF calibrated

Edelbrock Performer RPM 170cc runner/60cc chamber heads with competition valve job and upgraded springs. Guide plates and studs also

Comp XE282HR cam (.565/.576) i cant remember duration on 112 LSA. Installed dot-to-dot no degreeing

Comp hydraulic roller lifters with hardened pushrods

Scorpion 1.6 rockers

ARP head stud kit

BOTTOM END:

Stock 302 roller block

.030 over Probe SRS forged pistons -4cc valve reliefs

Scat54 long rod stroker rods (puts oil ring intersecting wrist pin)

Scat forged crank

Everything has been lightened and balanced at machine shop and is set at 28oz imbalance.

All ARP hardware

Clevite77 bearings

Ford Racing timing chain set at 0 advance.

Melling std volume oil pump

Any input on TQ/HP numbers i could maybe expect with a good tune will be appreciated guys

Heads are a little undersized, not sure what that intake is capable of NA (not sure that matters, the heads will probably be the restriction).
I'd say 350rwhp or so if things go well.

330 to 350 rwhp would be my guess. Heads and intake are sized for a 302, thats what will hurt most

X3 heads and intake are a restriction and will limit power. Around 350 is my guess.

sell the heads and get a set of at least 205cc. You are leaving a lot of power on the table. Not of fan of the BBK intake, I'd go with a Performer II

^^^agreed. With a 205 head and intake swap(depending on purposed use i.e. Dragstrip or street/strip-daily street car) he would/could see an extra 40-60rwhp. BBK intake is an interesting looking piece but it doesn't flow very well and the inherent problems of leaks.

Thanks for the input guys. So far the heads have to stay as its what i could afford at the moment and i got them for a decent price. I knew they would be a little small but figured they would be decent enough to drag some camaro ass.

Also about the intake and fuel leak problems. Its all been taken care of the rails have been drilled for AN fittings with a crossover at the rear. I saw on some magazine site i cant remember which that this intake performed really well and they were interested in seeing it on a 347 due to its numbers

Around 330hp. Are these left over parts from a stock short 302 you're reusing?

No, these are all new parts. Except the block and heads, but they are fresh out of the machine shop better than new ready to run.

Just out of curiosity you guys, what would i need to see 450 rwhp N/A? I know some 205-225 heads and race style intake. But would i be looking at a solid roller cam setup and maybe even shaft rockers?

You're going to need all of that and a lot of compression to get 450rwhp out of a 347. 450rwhp is a tall order. You can get to around 375-400 with just a better intake and a 205cc head and reuse your cam etc. It should peak in the 6-6300rpm range. If you're going to make a max effort stock block that's the direction I would use. If you went the solid cam/shaft rockers-225cc head, you would have to shift that at a very high rpm(72-7500+rpm). Stock blocks do not like high rpms and will eventually break.

You could just throw a small nitrous kit on and make 450 easy.

I like to bust people on all motor its so much more satisfying that way

I have a wet kit on my ninja and rarely use it because motor wins are so much better to me.

But i might consider the idea if i really want that 450 mark without dropping 3-4k more on heads and solid roller etc. although, youre right about the high rpms i dont wanna do that especially not having a girdle.

With a 347?
Likely something with a solid lifter cam, R, boss or dart block and about 2000 more rpm.

With a 347 425rwhp is a good goal, after that parts start to get really expensive and complex.

I wouldn't go after a number that high, I think it's more headaches than it's worth and you really start to sacrifice driveability.

One of the guys I know runs low 10's all motor 347 R block, 477rwhp at something like 7500rpm.
It's hard on the car and the trans too, everyone jokes about how many tko transmissions and cases he's broken. Not sure which he uses now, but it's a fancy tko that I think isn't meant for downshifting.
Same setup had many issues on a B block, which is not much better if any than a stock block.

Build like you planned. If not completely satisfied, you can spend more money in 90 days on just about any SC under the sun to hit that power level.

Not sure why though. Get the motor in, and start working on putting what you have to the ground and upgrading to a trans that can take it.

At 450HP, any abuse whatsoever has a really good chance of splitting the the block down the lifter valley.

Since you bought new parts for your build, I am curious why you chose mild 302 parts for a stroker build?

450 to the tire on a 347? simple.. 11:1 + compression, 205-225cc head, trick flow box R, custom cam, 1 7/8" LT & 3" exhaust. With todays technology it's too easy if you are willing to use the right parts.

These are all technically "new" parts. When i say new, i mean purchased secondhand from people local to me who had bought them new and *planned* to use these parts for their builds and went another direction. So i got new parts for great prices.

With my budget, if i had bought everything catalog new i would be nowhere near where i am now. Id be 306 with gt40 heads and pissed as hell.

The stroker kit i got a killer deal on. I hadnt even planned on a stroker until it popped up, already lightened and balanced with everything i needed for less than what it would have cost me to have my old crank, rods etc reconditioned at the machine shop.

A girdle will not keep the block from twisting and splitting down the lifter valley. That kind of failure is more comon than the bottom caps failing on this light block. Having two common crank I 4's instead of a v-8 is exciting and common above 450 HP and lots of RPM. You and your lady friend could wear girdles (or spanks) and probably have spent the money more wisely than on a stock 302 block. That way you look trim under the fire suit.

If thats the case maybe i should just spend a few weeks completely hardfacing and fill weld the entire lifter valley with TIG. Should solve that problem...lolol
