351cleveland into my 99 gt?

you do realise your car wont be legal to drive on public streets in CA right. i noticed you are in Pasadena. that swap is completely illegal in CA. not worth it at all. fo rhte amount of money you would spend getting your car to work with that motor you could have an aluminum block updated 04cobra headed motor with a kenne bell pushing about 200hp more than that on pump gas with better mileage and will be able to pass emissions testing.

That is a Cleveland....which is old school dinosaur. The Saleens used Windsor's. The Cleveland has not been stuck in a car since 1982 or 1984. The motors weren't made after '82. The Cleveland are actually along the lines of big block Fords. They were made to replace the old FE engines. You would need a modified oil pan and sump, engine mounts, trans, big cowl hood, and more fab work than it is worth. Get it, sale it, buy 500hp in 4.6 trim. Unless you have a '70-'73 Mustang sitting around. Then that 351C would be perfect.

i'm not one bit worried about emissions, i've got that taken care of. I do not like mod motors, i've had nothing but problems with this motor. Seperating intake manifold, coolant leaking onto my foot is just ridiculous. I've owned a number of 5.0's and the only issue i ever had was the alternator. How nicely could I drop in a 5.0 in her? thanks again

Its very easy just time cosuming, you will need to change the k member to a 94-95 style because mod motors mount differently, then just use motor mounts for a 5.0 they bolt right to a cleveland, then you will have to find a transmittion, and bell housing for a 94-95, yours will not work. next would accessory drive pullies, march pullies will have a kit you could use, then you will have to change the fuel system, and probally use a MSD ignition, heddman headers makes headers for this then spend a week fighting the wire harness, oh yeah it would cost alot TOO!

oh yeah I meant to tell you moroso makes the oil pan you need and you will need a flywheel with a 50 ounce balance. see you can get everything you need, the only fabrication will come in form of the wireing harness, hope you are a patient person.

How are you blowing them. Life of an engine depends on the driver for most cases. My brother has a GT and beats the ***** out of it all the time and I dont see it lasting much longer. Where my friend has one and is easy on it and it runs like a top with a hell of a lot more miles on it. Not say that this your case but is most.

Just get a 5.0 Stroker Short block from VT with forged bottom end.
