I got a 351w with canfield heads swapped into my 90lx. Anybody have any header suggestions? I would like to put a longtube ceramic coated header on it any help would be appreciated.

I personally do not like the BBK swap headers or the Hooker Super Comps so your choices are limited. Whats the combo?

Id suggest going Stainless Steel, which can still be coated ans if you knick the coating they will not rust like a mild steel header?

Whats your budget?

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

I agree, the bbk or hooker swap headers aren't my favorite either. Kooks or accufab headers are nice, pricey, but nice. I think i paid around 700 for my kooks swap headers.

The kooks stuff is top notch, usually pretty expensive though, maybe just skip the ceramic coating.

I like my hooker super comps, but the adapter plates piss me off to no end. Not a huge fan of the BBKs either so like rick said, its kind of limited. Really depends on what theyre going on

No budget really i got a guy who has a set for sale i think theyre mac or bbk longubes i dont wanna grab them if they wont work though. The combo is a 408 stroker with canfield heads. C4 tranny and upr k member it doesnt look like al lot of room to pass the longtubes down the passenger side, i heard kooks fit like a glove though.

I have the BBK long tube ceramic in mine, they fit and look great, the only complaint I have about them is one side keeps popping gaskets, I think the flange needs to be milled just a hair.

The Kooks tend to hang a little low but they usually fit nice, especially since you need to get around the c4. Stainless Works makes a nice set as well about $900 last time I bought a set.

Youll need a xpipe with the kooks since they are slip tube collectors. Id go with a 1.75" header with a 3"-3.5" collector.

Disagree with everything Mac being junk. Had a set of Mac shorties and never had any problems.... Can't say anything about their swap headers though.

There's a horror story for everything

I got 4 horror stories.
That's considered a pattern.
Had i not been near broke during decision making, no way i'd use mac anything ever again.

Dynatech also makes a 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped header that is more reasonable price wise than the kooks
