I hate doing this (and seldom do) but a quick search will reveal about 1000 threads on this. There's also one in the How-To Sticky at the top of the subforum.
Monte Smith's write-up (for content), Mustang Central's (for pics) and JRichker's standard post (great synopsis of his how-to, with part numbers) are all that's needed. No need to get overcomplicated.
If an article has you reuse the stock charge cables at the alternator's charge stud, I would NOT do that. Also follow JR's advice about upgrading the motor ground (I don't think I've seen an article address this overlooked item).
