Haven’t posted in while since the Hurricane back September. Been super busy...new job position, bought a house, twins on the way, and got the fox back on the road temporarily ( LMR bushings on LCA gave the ghost at the track).

Anyways me and father picked up am 06 GT, 5 speed with catback, CAI, TB, gears and bumped up tune with a hand held as a project.

After driving it for a week or so and bouncing between my fox.

Im starting to see why foxes are still the go to and why people LS swap before the coyotes came about.

Are the 3Vs in NA form really only a 13.5-14.0 car?

I remember reading articles in Motor Trend and other places when the '05 came out in which a lot of writers voiced their disappointment in the meager power increase of the 3V 4.6 over the 2V engines.

Personally, the '05-'09 styling never did appeal to me and still doesn't. Throw the 3V 4.6 in the mix, no thanks. The Coyote was the best move Ford has done with the Mustang in the last decade.

I had a manual 06 GT, it was tuned with a Cai, exhaust, and 4.10 gears. It made in the mid 290s HP on the dyno. I never ran it at the track, but it was faster than my '02 GT that ran constant 13.4s and took down multiple LS1s on the streets.
