Depends...I follow quite a bit of the local stuff- from Modifieds to late models to Sprints. My dad is and engine builder for a couple drivers that run Banks, Elma and St Helens, and a late model that runs Tenino. The team that he sponsors held the track record at Portland for quite a while the last year and a half it was open, same driver has the track record at St helens in both modified and late model. This year he is running Tenino and is just a couple tenths off the record on old practice tires.
This weekend We were going to go to Lebanon and watch (mainly because I am looking at a Foci down there ) but I found one closer so we might try to hit Yakidega (Yakima) instead. Either way, Might be back in time to hit S/B if people are going to be there.

On the street, its been ok. Couple days ago Chung pulled the diagnostic code from the check engine light, we're rich, and we're lean. Today its getting dropped off for wideband tunning, so that will taken care. As of now, it hesitates down low, then really takes off in the upper RPMs, itf its warm, itll start to predetonate right arounf 5500 RPMs and up. I cant wait to see what it runs tonight.

Well for the pissy news from lastnight. We left here at 7 got to the track, waited for almost 45 mins. to get in to pay. Then waited about another 1/2 hr to get threw tech, switched to slicks and waited 1 1/2 hr to make first run. Ran and then got back in line and waited another 1/2 hr ran again and that was it! WTF it was the buisess i have ever seen it! The traffic was clear back to I-5 both ways (north & south) to get in there had to of been like 500 cars and spectators there! I mean it was slammed pack! So anyways my first run i ran a 13.54 @106.83 with a 60' of 1.81. That was with the slicks at 12psi and i didnt do a good enough burn out. I launced at 4500 and rode the clutch a tinny bit hooked but miss shift 2 nd . So my next and final pass of the night , i did a decent burn out launched at 4900-5100 and got a 1.71 60' and ran 13.34 & 106.45 i spun a touch off the line and once again missed 2nd . And that was it only 2 runs after waiting 3 hours once i was in the gates! I talked to Ryann? (thanks!) who has had several runs of fun in the coupe when chris had it and gave me some tips for next weekend to try so i will go off them tips. I would of tried them lastnight but like i said 3 hrs of waiting and 2 runs!!!! Anybody else go down last night? So next weekend i will break into the 12's, i only tried one tip from ryann and it helped me by what 2 tenths? I feel i would of been there lastnight if i had more runs! peace

Me and dad were sitiing in line under the I5 overpass right around the corner form the entrance and Ray was about 15 cars ahead of us. We gave up after 15 minutes of not moving, and decided to hit Banks. We literally were 5 minutes from parking at Banks when Ray called and said he was just now paying
What a joke! Never seen PIR like that before and dont care to again! On a better note, our driver the rest of the field and took the season opener victory by a half lap

i tried to get in i came down from columbia and the line was all the way back up there at about 7:30 so i said f it and went back home there was way to many people trying to get in there were a ton of lowriders for some reason sitting in line to
I got there around 7:30 only to find traffic backed up on the I5 off ramp. It was also backed up around the corner to Burger King. Ricer dip****s everywhere. It didn’t get much better by 8:45. I didn’t even bother. I should have just met up with Jeff in Banks, that’s only 5 minutes from my house.
WTF was the problem? Was it the poser security guards taking 15 minutes doing the alcohol checks? I laugh when I see those retards with their black cargo pants tucked into their boots.

I know there were a lot of people there but come on. Every year it gets worse. Every event/race I go to at PIR (not just drag racing) the people working there whether it is parking or crowd control are unfamiliar with the track layout and too stupid to think for themselves. I missed a good spot Friday night during the Oregon Trail Rally because of these morans.

Back to the Late Night Drags. I guess it’s getting too popular and growing faster than they can deal with using the current management model. If they can’t get that traffic problem solved only ricer ewoks will even bother going. How hard would it be to double up on the staff at the front gate? I wonder if the management even realized that traffic was backed up onto the freeway.
